Federico Minelle è laureato in Fisica alla Università “Sapienza” di Roma, con una tesi sulla Intelligenza Artificiale, si è inserito il gruppodi Ricerca Operativa della Olivetti & Co, Ivrea, Italia. Successivamente per oltre 40 anni ha svolto attività di consulenza In Organizzazione Aziendale, Sistemi Informativi e Project Management.

Prima come partner di Accenture e poi come senior partner della società di consulenza italiana PRS - Planning, Ricerche e Studi, ha gestito e monitorato importanti progetti in diversi settori industriali, principalmente nella Impiantistica&Costruzioni (p.e. impianti manufatturieri e centrali nucleari, infrastrutture per i trasporti) e nella Pubblica Amministrazione (ICT e innovazione dei processi).
Ha insegnato per più di 20 anni Business Information Systems nel Dip. di Informatica della “Sapienza”, ha anche insegnato Project Management & ICT per il Master in ICT Governance e Audit. Allo stesso tempo ha svolto lezioni su temi analoghi a dirigenti e funzionari pubblici per i corsi presso la SNA (Scuola nazionale della Amministrazione).
Attualmente Direttore Scientifico della Rivista italiana “Il Project Manager” (FrancoAngeli ed.), dove scrive editoriali, articoli e recensioni.
Inoltre membro del Comitato Scientifico di ISIPM (Istituto Italiano di Project Management). Federico ha guidato la precedente ricerca sulla Maturità nel Project Management, effettuata da ISIPM nel 2010, secondo il modello Prado 1.0.
Project Manager Certificato secondo lo standard UNI 11648:2016, in accordo con lo standard internazionale UNI ISO 21500:2013 (Guidance on project management).

Federico Minelle graduated in Physics at “Sapienza” - Rome University, presenting a Master's degree thesis on Artificial Intelligence (AI) research, he immediately joined the Operations Research group in Olivetti & Co, Ivrea, Italy. Afterwards, for more than 40 years he consulted in Business Organization, Information Systems and Project Management.

Previously as partner of Accenture and then as senior partner of Italian consultancy firm PRS - Planning, Ricerche e Studi, he managed and monitored significant projects in several industries, mainly in Engineering&Construction (e.g. manufacturing and nuclear power plants, transportation infrastructures) and in Government (ICT and process innovation).
He taught for more than 20 years Business Information Systems in the Computer Science Dept. of “Sapienza” - Rome University, where he currently teaches Project Management & ICT for the academic Master Degree in ICT Governance and Audit. At the same time he taught similar topics to Government officers attending SNA (National Public Administration School) courses.
He is Scientific Director of the Italian journal “Il Project Manager”, where he writes editorial notes, papers and book reviews. He also is an honorary member of ISIPM (Italian Institute for Project Management).
Federico has managed previous Italian research on Project Management Maturity, sponsored by ISIPM in 2010, according to the Prado 1.0 model. He is a Certified Project Manager according to the UNI 11648:2016 standard, in accordance with the ISO 21500:2013 international standard (Guidance on project management).
